I've got gas

OK, so I've never done gas piping before. This was an experience. First of all I have to say that the guy at Lowes was a retard. He told me the only way to connect existing pipes without removing all of one side was to thread the pipes myself. Wrong. All you need is a union. I followed this guy's instruction and I had no problems. I even got to use my sawsall to cut the old pipe out (where the new union went in the picture).

Gas has been delivered up to the laundry room.

The Bathroom is coming together!

The toilet was finally finished this weekend. I ended up doing all the plumbing that we had already paid the plumber to do. It turns out that our plumber is sort of tough to schedule and I just didn't want to deal with him anymore.

I attached the cabinets to the wall too. It actually went pretty well. The tough part was that the drawers to the right are not as deep as the vanity so I had to attach them to the side wall and then attach the vanity to the back wall and then screw them together. We still need a kick board and a countertop to finish it off.

Here is the shower plumbing. We got a shower system with a diverter valve so the thing to the left will be a hand spray shower head. This is one of my favorite parts. I love soldering copper pipes!

Destruction

This morning I removed the door between the addition and the original house. You can see the destruction in this picture (and the sawzall on the floor in the middle of it all).

After it was all cleaned up it is looking pretty good here.

Here is a shot from the addition looking into the original house.

The wall board is being delivered on Tuesday!
